Last Travel League shoot of the year
As many of you have already seen, we have new concrete on our main trap field. Also there are now steps down into the trap house for easier loading. Plans in the works to upgrade our second field next year.
We have started a new punch card program to make shooting payment more convenient and cheaper. Nearly all clubs charge a much higher rate for non-members but we have maintained $5 for all. The new punch cards are a way of giving a price break for members as well as simplifying the payment process. The cards can be purchased at the bar for $40 which includes 10 punches ($4 round). The cards are serial numbered. When you turn in your score sheet please mark "paid" if paying $5 cash or enter your card number if taking a punch.
We ask that anyone using the trap/skeet facilities keep a score sheet with the shooters names and a date with them on the field. Please record the number of rounds and payment method next to shooter's name. We don't care about the score. Turn the score sheet in with your payment. In order to keep our honor system of access and payment in place we need to track our target sales.
If you are not familiar with the operation of the equipment check at the clubhouse to see if someone experienced is available or text me and we can arrange an orientation. (Dean Kittendorf 586-876-1611). Also, if you are unfamiliar with the games of skeet or trap there are several shooters who would be happy to give you a primer on the safety, rules and etiquette to get you started.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Clean up after yourself! Pick up your empties and re-load the machine when you are completed. This is simple courtesy so the next member can have the same quality experience for their shooting dollar.
Right now we are charging a very low $5 per round with $4 per round punch card option for members. This is dirt cheap in today's economy. Detroit area clubs are charging $10-$12 for a round of clays. Our membership has been supportive of improvement efforts with several thousand dollars in upgrades the last couple years. For now we are holding the thin line as target prices rise. All shooters need to work together to keep the program viable. Keep our open access honor payment system going and remind others to do the same. Thanks and enjoy!
We still have the chili dogs on Thursday nights! We've added french fries with more options coming soon.
What could be better than Thursday night chili dogs? Coneys AND Cards of course.
Be sure to click on "Events" and "Pictures" at the top of the page! Lots goin' on... don't miss out.

Fellow members we are still in search for bartenders for our club.
If we are unable to find anyone to help out at the bar, the club will only be open on limited days and hours. The pandemic has been rough on all of us and we are starting to see some daylight at the end of the tunnel. Let's get the club back to where it was. Please get ahold of President Bill Perdue if you are willing to help out. We don't want to shut the doors again

They may look okay to you- but they are often weakened or have stress cracks. This causes premature breakage and fouls the machine. The next shooter is left to clean out your mess. $5 entitles every shooter to new targets. We do not offer free or discounted rounds with pickup birds! Also- Be courteous and please remember to refill the traps when you close up. Thanks- Good Shooting!
